A diamond set devotional silver pendant containing a micro sculpture.

Spanish, c.1700.

Measures 6.6 x 3.9 x 1.5cm.

This exquisite pendant is set with a multitude of old-cut diamonds, the hanger centred with a table cut diamond. The main body of the jewel is set with a circular glazed compartment containing a Greek Orthodox, micro-sandalwood carving of the Holy Trinity. The reverse of the pendant is elaborately engraved, the central section with a flowering tulip. In original and fine condition, however a brooch pin has been added in the 19th century to the reverse.
