A rose cut diamond ring decorated with an allegory of love.
French, late 18th century.
Ring Size K 1/4 UK / 5.5 US.
The bezel measures 4 x 1.7cm.

The heart shaped diamond measures approximately 0.7 x 0.7cm.
The pierced bezel is set with a large heart shaped diamond which is pierced by two of Cupid’s arrows, from the top of the heart spouts a flame representing undying love. Above the heart is a floral spray and below is a bow - a form of love knot from which is suspended two tassels.
